Botulinum toxic type A is better known as Botox and injections of this can dramatically reduce lines and wrinkles. Botox is injected via a tiny needle directly into the muscle of specific areas requiring the treatment. No anaesthetic is required as the treatment is virtually painless.
Botox is most commonly used to treat frown lines, crows feet and forehead lines.
Botox temporarily relaxes the muscle stopping them from contracting thus softening lines and wrinkles creating a smooth finish. Treatment can take up to 10 days to work properly and will last approximately 3 months.
